A mixture of grapefruit, gun flint and citrus aromas rise out of the glass with some grassy herbaceous and mineral notes ensuing. Vibrant flavours of citrus, grapefruit and unripe gooseberries dance across the palate underpinned by racy acidity. Some grassy and flinty mineral characters chime in on the dry crunchy finish. Light, tangy aftertaste.
Te Wa, 'time and place' in Maori, pays homage to the distinctive wine style delivered by the stony, alluvial gravels and cool climate of the Martinborough Terrace. Portions of skin contact and barrel ferments have been carefully brought together to create a complex and textural expression of Sauvignon Blanc.
