Moss Wood Wilyabrup Chardonnay 2022

An interesting year in Margaret River led to some rather unique wines produced in the 2022 vintage; this wine from Moss Wood is a cracker. A full bodied wine yielding complex layers of peachy, fleshy fruits, a dash of ripe citrus, cashew nut and malt biscuit, and a layer of toasty smooth caramel and clove. This vintage is unfined, and was racked to 54% new oak where it saw full malolactic fermentation. The Moss Wood vineyards were planted in 1969, and is one of the founding members of the Margaret River wine region.
