Imagine walking barefoot on sun-warmed red sand, the air fragrant with red berries and wild herbsāthatās what Yangarraās 2023 Ovitelli Grenache feels like. From delicate ruby hue to nose bursting with raspberry, cranberry, red rose petal and a hint of potpourri, itās perfumed and elegant. On the palate: silky texture, fine chalky grip, cool sapidity, and tension rather than weight. The long time on skins in ceramic eggs gives skin tannin structure without heaviness, and the lack of oak lets the purity of fruit shine. All in all, a Grenache thatās refined, delicate, and built to evolve beautifully with a few years in the cellar.
