This 2023 Grenache from Vanguardist is like a secret told in the heart of Blewitt Springs—deeply perfumed, graceful, and unapologetically expressive. It unfolds with lifted notes of dried cranberry, freeze-dried raspberry and bitter orange peel layered with five-spice, clove, green cardamom and pressed alpine herbs. Each sip is a study in finesse: silky tannins, bright acidity, and a mineral-tinged grip that anchors the lifted fruit. Gently fermented with 60 % whole bunches, rested through two winters in large Slavonian oak foudre, and bottled without any fining or filtration, this is terroir made tangible—the kind of wine that opens, lingers and rewards every day it’s left alone.
