The 2022 Stefano Lubiana 'Il Giardino' Pinot Noir is a single-block wine from Tasmania’s Derwent Valley, showcasing the estate's commitment to biodynamic and organic viticulture. Grown on a block with cracking black clay over chalky limestone soils, the vines—comprising clones like Abel, Pommard, and MV6—are 15 years old and yield less than 4 tonnes per hectare. This Pinot Noir presents vibrant aromas of crushed strawberries, amaro liqueur, wet bark, and dark cherries. The medium-bodied palate offers finely integrated tannins and bright acidity, revealing notes of cocoa beans, orange peel, ferric earth, and plums. Fermented with 100% whole clusters and bottled without filtration, it reflects a minimal intervention approach.
