Spinifex Bête Noir Shiraz

The Spinifex Bête Noir Shiraz is a masterful blend of old-vine Barossa and Eden Valley Shiraz, sourced from nine small family vineyards across sub-regions like Moppa, Light Pass, and the eastern foothills. This wine showcases a deep magenta hue and offers aromas of bright plum, black cherry, and blueberry, interwoven with hints of violets, brown spice, ironstone, dark chocolate, smoked meats, cherry confit, and earth. On the palate, it presents a medium to full-bodied profile with a supple core of black and red fruits, complemented by veins of aromatic spice and savouriness. The wine's structure is defined by fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acid line, leading to a long, elegant finish. Crafted with approximately 35% whole clusters, indigenous yeast fermentation, and matured on lees in a combination of new (35%) and seasoned French oak barrels for 20 months, it is bottled without filtration.
