Sordo Barolo Monprivato 2021

In their words - Ā Monprivato is a small mention in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto but is considered to be one of the most important of the entire Barolo designation.

Ā

The color of this wine astounds due to the intensity of the garnet and ruby reds that shine.
Its alcoholic strength stands out in an abundant formation of church windows and tears. The characteristics of this grape variety include a rich and lingering bouquet, amplified by elegant sensations reminiscent of black cherry and delicate floral nuances. With time, estery sensations develop with hints recalling resin and sweet spices. Ā 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels

Ā

Critics thoughts -Ā  Ā From a small section of the famed cru. This plot of Sordo’s leased through the Church that owns a portion.

Ā

Succulent red of high definition, tense tannin profile, bright and brisk acidity, tinged with amaro and dried orange, graphite, dark cherry and rose hip tea, a garam masala spice mix earthy-sweet lift. Incredibly intense but sheathed in a ripple of firm, super high quality and refreshing tannin. Impossibly long and mouth-watering finish. A wine for the ages, and ages. Poise, purity, detail of fruit, spice, earth, tannin. Stellar.Ā  97 points Winefront Mike Bennie
