Singlefile Clement V 2018

A Frankland River salute to Châteauneuf du Pape, a blend of 90% Shiraz, 6% Grenache, and 4% Mataró, each fermented separately and aged in French oak barriques for ten months, with 30% in new barrels. It boasts a dense, inky black colour and intense aromas of ripe blackberry, liquorice, and dark plum, with hints of smoked meats and pepper. On the palate, it's rich and concentrated, with opulent black fruit flavours layered over notes of earth and subtle oak. While the oak is currently prominent, it's expected to integrate with time, making this wine a powerful and lavish choice for aging.
