Sato LFDS Les Blanches Chardonnay 2023

From superstar winemaker Yoshiaki and his wife Kyoko, the La Ferme de Sato (LFDS) vineyard was established in 2016 on an old sheep farm in the sub-region of Pisa. The small planting of 0.95Ha of Chardonnay is farmed organically, the wine is unfined, unfiltered and vegan friendly.  884 bottles of 2023 released.

Critics thoughts -   "A terrific chardonnay, showing cooked apples, pie crust, light caramel and toffee undertones. The palate is full-bodied but not heavy, with fresh and lively acidity and a complex, intense finish. Flinty with lanolin and wax in the aftertaste. Drink or hold."  97 points, James Suckling.
