Pooley Margaret Tribute Riesling 2023

A beautiful tribute to Margaret Pooley, and a Riesling with plenty of personality to match! Sourced from some of the oldest vines at Tasmania’s Cooinda Vale vineyard, this is Riesling with serious pedigree and a playful streak. The nose is wonderfully expressive, bursting with honeysuckle, lemon sorbet, lime zest and delicate white florals. Take a sip and things get even more interesting, with juicy green apple, kiwi fruit, gooseberry and a cheeky splash of lime cordial. A little time on fine lees in seasoned French oak adds lovely texture without stealing the spotlight from that pristine fruit. There’s a gorgeous oyster-shell salinity and flinty mineral edge keeping everything fresh and focused. Bright, racy acidity delivers a mouth-watering finish that seems to go on forever. Elegant and energetic now, with the structure to develop beautifully over time. A seriously impressive Tassie Riesling!
