There is plenty going on here, but nothing feels overworked: raspberry, red cherry and wild strawberry are joined by violet, cedar and a delicate savoury note. fruit from Pooley’s Coal River Valley sites is fermented with a measured whole-bunch component and matured in French oak for fine structure. The result feels polished without becoming too serious, with enough detail and personality to keep every glass interesting.
