Paritua 'Stone Paddock' Cabernet Franc 2021

Cabernet Franc can become leafy or stern when pushed, but the warm gravel soils of Paritua’s Bridge Pa Triangle vineyard give it fragrance and flesh. Fermentation in small batches and measured oak maturation build shape without burying the grape’s natural perfume.

Black cherry, plum and redcurrant lead into violet and dried herbs, with cedar appearing as the wine settles. Fine, savoury tannins bring definition rather than heaviness. It is unmistakably Cabernet Franc, but an especially polished and welcoming version of it.
