Nick Spencer Tumbarumba Grüner Veltliner 2023

Critics thoughts -  It has the varietal signature of GV with apple, green melon, some spice cupboard, aniseed, white pepper and citrus zest. It’s fleshy and has some weight and richness, a little savoury/umami complexity, a fair bit of spice, balanced acidity with some powdery grip, and a cinch of grapefruit pith on a finish of good length. Excellent. A little more weighty and complex than previous iterations, perhaps.  Gary Walsh  93 Points The Wine Front

All up, 10 hours' skin contact then pressed to stainless steel and left on lees for around 10 months. It has texture and body although it’s by no means voluminous, as it’s tightly wound by the acidity, which is exhilaratingly fresh. Aromas and flavours of honeydew, citrus, blanched stinging nettles, coriander and the merest hint of white pepper and fennel. Pleasingly savoury, too. It oscillates well between complex/detailed and highly gluggable/refreshing.   Jane Faulkner 95 Points Halliday Wine Companion
