Mayer Tempranillo 2024

Timo's been making wine in the Yarra Valley, almost as big as his personality, since the 1990's. He founded his estate in Healesville in the year 2000. Mayer originally hails from the Baden-Württemberg region of southwest Germany where he was born and raised in a wine making family. As for Mayer's Tempranillo, you can expect dark forest fruits on the nose, while the palate is rich and juicy with plenty of fruit, cherry, plums, sarsaparilla and just a hint of anise. Mayer is a small producer making hand crafted, single vineyard wines, with an intention to show the true expression of the land and with Tempranillo as delicious as this it's easy to see why Mayer has gained a cult like following.
