Matassa Olla Rouge 2023

Tom Lubbe’s Rouge is an expression of natural winemaking at its finest, crafted from his small, sought-after 15-hectare vineyard in Calce, South-West France. This wine blends 60% Grenache Noir, 20% Grenache Gris, and 20% Macabeu, creating a delightful balance of fruit-forward flavour, freshness, and subtle floral nuances. The vines, grown on clay-limestone soils rich in iron, produce a wine that is both light and intense, with a savoury texture that speaks to its careful co-fermentation and minimal intervention. Aged for five months in cement vats without filtering, this wine expresses the terroir and Tom Lubbe’s passion for crafting wines that highlight natural character and finesse.
