Langmeil Jackaman's Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Jackaman’s vineyard, Langmeil's prized Cabernet Sauvignon site, dates back to the 1960s Barossa Cabernet revolution and was meticulously tended by Arthur Jackaman, a colorful Barossan figure and WWII veteran. Langmeil's commitment to excellence is evident in every wine bearing their name. This Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for twenty-five months in French oak hogsheads, reflects the family's dedication to quality. Planted in 1964 and 1973, the vineyard's grey sandy loam over clay soil contributes to the wine's character. The 2021 vintage, yielded deeply concentrated juice, resulting in a rich, full-bodied wine. Deep crimson with purple hues, it offers lifted aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, biscuity oak, and hints of liquorice. The palate is bright and juicy with medium to full body, featuring briary spice, black olive, cedar, and silky tannins, culminating in a fruity and velvety finish.
