Some vineyards just have that magic touch, and Watervale's legendary Florita Vineyard is certainly one of them.Crafted from one of Australia's most celebrated Riesling sites, this is Clare Valley precision at its absolute finest. The nose is bursting with freshly squeezed lime, zesty lemon and crisp Granny Smith apple, with a delicate hint of orange blossom. A subtle thread of chalky minerality, wet stone and flinty complexity adds a little extra intrigue. On the palate, it's wonderfully taut and energetic, with vibrant citrus flavours dancing across a beautifully focused structure. That signature Watervale acidity is electric, delivering freshness, tension and a mouth-watering sense of purity. There's impressive concentration here, but everything remains light on its feet and effortlessly elegant. The finish is exceptionally long, clean and mineral-driven, leaving a lovely citrus zest lingering. Already a thrilling glass of Riesling, but with the structure to develop gorgeous honeyed complexity over the years. A brilliant reminder of why great Australian Riesling deserves a serious place in every wine lover's cellar.
