Hudelot-Noellat Chambolle Musigny Les Charmes 1er 2023

The style of the Domaine is defined by elegance and purity. Since 2008 Charles Van Canneyt, (grandson of founder Alain Hudelot) has managed this iconic 10 hectare Cote de Nuit estate.  Hudelot-Noellat owns a tiny piece of 0.21ha Les Charmes vineyard planted in 1955.

A fine even purple colour. Not so much bouquet showing, but this is beautifully balanced on the palate, with a velvet texture plus some interesting white pepper on the palate despite no stems, then a return of the raspberry and redcurrant fruit. Drink from 2030-2036. 92-95 points - Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
