From 101-year-old dry-grown, ungrafted vines, the 2021 Mount Edelstone Shiraz by Henschke is a testament to the family’s winemaking legacy. Aged for 18 months in a mix of 81% French and 19% American hogsheads, this Shiraz opens with an enticing nose of sage, crushed black pepper, spiced plum, cherry, and cedar. The palate is rich and textured, with wild forest berries, blue fruits, and blackcurrant woven into velvety tannins, leading to a well-structured and long finish.
