Grosset Lenswood Chardonnay 2025
In their words - A striking counterpoint to its Piccadilly sibling… Only 200 Cases
A striking counterpoint to its Piccadilly sibling, this debut Lenswood expression leads with bright, fresh lemon and citrus notes underscored by a distinctive talc-like minerality. Made identically to the Piccadilly — eight months French oak, partial malo — the wine reveals how profoundly terroir shapes the final expression. The palate is notably fresh with full texture: taut where Piccadilly is layered, linear where Piccadilly expands. A compelling study in sub-regional character.
100% chardonnay grown in Lenswood, Adelaide Hills
Barrel fermented exclusively in French oak barriques (40% new) for 8 months; only partial natural malolactic fermentation
Critics thoughts - 200 cases only of the Grosset Lenswood Chardonnay. You can almost hear this wine purr. It tastes of pears, grapefruit, cashews and cedar; it builds texture, power and flavour into an elegant frame; it has that extra emphasis through the finish to reinforce its overall quality. This is both a refined chardonnay and a luxurious one. 95 points Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front
