Grace Cuvée Misawa Rouge 2020

What a journey this wine has had! The 2020 vintage tells a story of resilience and care, growing amidst the changing tides of a challenging year. After a promising budburst in spring and plenty of sunshine through flowering, the rainy season slowed things down, but with smart pest control and rain protection, the grapes were kept healthy. As summer emerged, the delayed ripening began to recover, and despite a few autumn showers and Typhoon no. 14, the harvest was a success. The result? A gorgeous blend of Merlot (55.5%), Petit Verdot (25.5%), and Cabernet Franc (19%), each variety vinified in small batches and aged in French oak for 15 months. This wine combines the juicy fruitiness of Merlot, the spicy notes of Petit Verdot, and the elegance of Cabernet Franc. Matured without fining or filtration, it delivers a wine with complexity, depth, and a fine balance of richness and freshness. Each sip tells the tale of a vineyard that overcame nature's challenges to produce something truly remarkable.
