Gentle Folk Scary Gully Pinot Noir 2025
Sitting high in the Adelaide Hills at around 620 metres, these old vines grow on a seriously steep ridge of sandstone and quartz. The wine has a gorgeous savoury edge, opening with smoky spice, pepper, violets and bright red cherry. There’s a touch of stalky whole-bunch character adding perfume and complexity without taking over the show. The palate is beautifully soft and silky, with juicy cherry fruit, fine tannins and plenty of freshness.
A little time in French oak brings subtle spice and texture while keeping the fruit front and centre. It’s elegant and detailed but certainly not precious about it.
A wonderfully drinkable, cool-climate Pinot with that distinctive Gentle Folk mix of personality, purity and charm.
