Gentle Folk Piccadilly Pinot Noir 2025

There’s a lovely combination of power and prettiness here, showing exactly why Piccadilly Valley has become such exciting Pinot Noir territory. Wild strawberry, raspberry and bright red cherry lead the way, with bramble, gentle spice and a subtle savoury edge adding plenty of interest. The fruit comes from the high-altitude Woods Hill Vineyard in Summertown, where vines planted in 1980 grow over loamy clay, sandstone, schist and quartz. A touch of whole-cluster fermentation brings aromatic lift and a little extra shape. There’s some oak influence, but it sits quietly in the background, allowing the freshness and perfume to shine. Juicy and energetic through the palate, with fine tannins and excellent acidity keeping everything beautifully composed. Bright, detailed and simply delicious.
