Gaja Barbaresco 2020
In their words -The Barbaresco 2020 shows notes of strawberry, red fruit, and cherry. The palate shows great integration of the tannins, more rounded than in 2019 yet gentle and graceful. Blackberry, orange, and floral notes yield to a delicate, palate, and voluminous finish. The wines are characterized by precise and complex fruit expressions and clean and elegant aromas.Ā They are wines that are already drinkable but will reward with time as the presence of fruit is always a guarantee of aging potential.

Critics thoughts - Well, this has scaled the rungs in terms of prestige and price it seems.
Ā
Itās a serious wine, succulent, dense, rich and firm. Lots of choc-liquorice, dried cherry, bergamot tea, lavender, plum and mulberry, black olive and cedar going on. Drives with intensity and precision, ribs of firm, dusty tannin a thing and a sense of cold tea and grippy, rocky minerality in tow. It drinks really well, is the other sense, a really satisfying, structured and convincing wine that lets you know who is the boss. Every sip was pleasure.Ā 95+ points WineFront Mike Bennie
