Francois Rousset-Martin, Chardonnay 'La Chaux' 2022

La Chaux is a seriously impressive Chardonnay from the Jura, showcasing the region’s distinctive combination of richness, texture and vibrant acidity. Sourced from a tiny 0.4-hectare vineyard in Château-Chalon, the vines are approximately 65 years old and planted on limestone and marl soils. An extended 30 months of élevage brings remarkable depth and complexity to the wine. Expect generous tropical fruit, ripe citrus and a delicious touch of salted butter, all wrapped up in a beautifully fleshy, textured palate. But don’t be fooled by that richness- a thrilling line of acidity keeps everything fresh, focused and wonderfully energetic. A beautifully balanced, characterful Chardonnay with impressive length and plenty of personality.
