Finisterre by Robert Oatley Grenache 2023

Finisterre is Robert Oatley’s small-parcel range, where hand picking, careful sorting and instinctive cellar work take precedence over volume. Old bush-vine Grenache from Blewitt Springs provides perfume and natural concentration without needing heavy extraction.

Raspberry, cranberry and red cherry are lifted by rose and musk, while dried herbs add a savoury counterpoint. The tannins are rounded and supple, carrying the fruit with an easy grace. Generous McLaren Vale Grenache, though there is finesse behind the warmth.
