Finisterre by Robert Oatley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

There is plenty going on here, but nothing feels overworked: cassis, blackberry and dark cherry are layered with bay leaf, cedar, tobacco and long, gravelly tannins. cabernet fruit is carefully sorted, given extended maceration and matured in new and seasoned French oak for depth and a finely structured finish. The result feels polished without becoming too serious, with enough detail and personality to keep every glass interesting.
