This cool-climate Chardonnay hails from the Beechworth region, known for its old vines, with over 40 years of age contributing to the wine's richness. The nose opens with notes of grapefruit, melon, and white stone fruit, along with a hint of flint and struck match. The palate is medium-bodied with textural complexity, thanks to 12 months of ageing in Italian-coopered French oak. Despite no malolactic fermentation, the wine maintains a creamy, balanced profile with fresh acidity.
