Domaine Faiveley Mercurey 1er Cru Le Clos Du Roy 2022

Importers thoughts - Acquired by our family in 1971, Le Clos du Roy is considered as one of the best climates in the appellation and an historic Premier Cru in Mercurey. Benefiting from a south-south-west exposure, its cool, compact clay-limestone soil composed of white marl has the advantage of warming up quickly, imparting fine tannins worthy of the great villages of the Côte de Nuits.  Subtle aromas of small black and red fruits mingle elegantly with woody and smoky notes. These fruity flavours emerge greedily in the mouth. The wine coats the palate with velvety tannins, offering a smooth, warm and harmonious experience.
