Chateau Poyanne Cote be Bourg 2023

Importers thoughts -  Poyanne is managed by the Albert Schweitzer family, purchased by them in 1962 to reset the quality of a fine Bourgeais wine. They quickly went to work replanting the entire vineyards with high quality Merlot and Cabernet vines to bring new life to the appellation while also working with a High Environmental Value throughout the vines. The Schweitzer family also ensure a long ageing period both in vats and oak to develop more complex flavours you would not find as often within an entry level Bordeaux.

Château Poyanne produces a full-bodied, elegant dress with a fruity bouquet, where power is combined with the charm and finesse, qualities that develop with age. On the palate, a nice ample and delicate concentration characteristic terroir "Bourgeais". Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon.
