A happy vineyard accident has never tasted so elegant. This dry Bordeaux white began life as a Sauvignon Blanc planting no one meant to make—intended for Sauternes, no less! But rather than rip it out, the team at Château Guiraud gave it a stage, and voilà: “G” was born. A blend of 60% Sémillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc, fermented in old Sauternes barrels and aged on lees, it’s all about texture and tension. On the nose, pink grapefruit, white flowers and passionfruit pirouette with citrus zest and a whisper of juniper. The palate? Silky but focused, with just the right zing, a creamy depth, and a long, mineral finish. Certified organic, effortlessly stylish, and oh-so Bordeaux—just without the sweet bit.
