Bozal Ensamble brings together Espadín (your reliable ride-or-die), Mexicano (all rich and sultry), and Barril (a bit of a floral flirt). Two are wild—literally hand-foraged from rugged Oaxacan hillsides—and the Espadín's the cultivated cool kid. Slightly smoky? Of course. But also herbaceous, citrusy, and just a little bit cheeky on the finish. Made by three different mezcaleros from two towns—you never quite know which bottle's story you’re sipping. Mystery mezcal?
