The Ben Marco from Los Chacayes is a vivid example of Mendoza’s lofty vineyards showing off. It offers dense aromas of blackberry, plum and dark chocolate, with pretty violet florals in the mix. On the palate it’s juicy yet structured: firm tannins, lively acidity, and a minerally backing that gives tension to the rich fruit. The oak ageing in second-use French barrels adds subtle spice and a welcoming depth without overwhelming the varietal character. Great length and presence make this a wine that rewards sipping now and ageing in the cellar.
