BATTLES CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2025

Battles has turned its attention to Cabernet Sauvignon, and this impressive debut is everything we love about Margaret River reds. Sourced from the Ellens Ridge Vineyard in Wilyabrup, this beautifully expressive Cabernet captures the region's signature combination of generous dark fruit and savoury elegance. The nose is packed with ripe blackcurrants, blackberries and dark plums, alongside classic bay leaf, cedar, graphite and a gentle touch of tobacco. The palate is rich and vibrant, with juicy cassis, dark chocolate and subtle earthy notes wrapped around fine, beautifully structured tannins. Savoury French oak adds depth without overpowering the fruit, while a fresh mineral edge keeps everything balanced and lively. The finish is long, refined and wonderfully persistent. A cracking Margaret River Cabernet that's approachable enough to enjoy now, but has the structure and depth to reward a little patience in the cellar.
