Bannockburn Pinot Noir 2023

Bannockburn's estate Pinot Noir, consistently hailed as one of Australia's finest, showcases complexity and character. Grown in old vineyards with limestone soils and low yields, the wine exudes pure fruit flavours, autumnal aromas, and savoury spice notes. Harvested from vines planted between 1976 and 2007 across various vineyards, including Olive Tree Hill, 10 Rows, Stuart Block, Ann's Block, and De La Terre. Handpicked fruit underwent wild fermentation with around 20% whole bunch inclusion, followed by aging in a mix of hogsheads and puncheons, with 20% new oak. After ten months of undisturbed aging, the wine was blended and bottled. The 2023 Pinot Noir presents lifted aromas of bright red fruits, spice, and autumnal nuances, with vibrant flavours, moderate tannins, and a refreshing finish, embodying elegance, complexity, and freshness for an enjoyable experience.
