Bannockburn De La Terre Pinot Noir 2025

De La Terre shows the more delicate, detailed side of Bannockburn Pinot Noir.  From a tiny, high-density vineyard beside Serré, it delivers concentration without feeling remotely heavy.  Red cherry leads the way, joined by dried herbs, floral spice, orange rind and a deliciously bitter amaro-like twist.  There’s a little incense and earthy savouriness in the background, giving all that bright fruit plenty of personality.

The palate is fine and silky, with fresh acidity and beautifully detailed tannins keeping everything precise.
A portion of whole clusters adds perfume and savoury complexity, while French oak brings subtle polish rather than obvious woodiness.  There’s lovely mineral tension running through the wine, carrying everything into a long, lifted finish.  Fragrant, finely built and wonderfully distinctive Pinot that gets more interesting with every sip.
