Pooley Riesling 2023

From the 2023 Wine Companion "Winery of the Year", this Tasmanian producer has built a sterling reputation for incredible wines that showcase the hard-work of talented Tasmanian Winemaker, Anna Pooley. 

The 2023 Coal River Riesling is sourced from primarily estate vines (younger selection of Cooinda Vale & Butchers Hill) + some extra fruit from the nearby Middle Tea Tree Road site. The wine showcases a classic style of zippy acidity that freshens the floral citrus flavours and creates a wine of admirable tension. Wonderful now with seafood and a definite candidate for an extended slumber in the cellar.
