100% Montepulciano, hand picked and bottled with love. A medium-bodied, smashable wine experience. Sourced from Tim Fechner's property near Angaston, the wine comes from poor limestone soil at about 380m elevation and is hand-picked in mid-April. It features a blue-fruited spectrum on the nose with plums, boysenberry, amaro peel, spice, and alpine herbs. The palate is full and plush with upfront plums, blueberry, dried cherries, and pomegranate, balanced by fine tannins and lively acidity. The finish highlights alpine herbs and tight tannins. With only 3137 bottles produced, this wine exemplifies the Eden Valley’s move towards medium-bodied Italian varieties, blending sweet and savoury fruit for a moorish wine with herbal complexity and concentrated length.
