Domaine Tempier Bandol Classique Lulu & Lucien 2022

Domaine Tempier, the most renowned estate in Bandol, has been under the stewardship of the Peyraud family since 1936. Their classic red cuvée, a blend of diverse terroirs, showcases the complexity of clay-limestone soils from around the Estate, including La Cadière, Sainte Anne d’Evenos, and Ollioules. Predominantly Mourvèdre, with elements of Grenache, Cinsault, and Carignan, this cuvée pays homage to Mrs. Lucie 'Lulu' Peyraud, who passed away shortly after the 2020 harvest at the remarkable age of 103. In honor of her legacy and her partnership with husband Lucien, the family has renamed this vintage's classic red cuvée to "Lulu & Lucien," celebrating their shared journey in what the family fondly refers to as 'Winemakers’ Paradise.'
