Pooley Butcher's Hill Pinot Noir 2023

Anna Pooley has stunned us again, hot off of being named Halliday's 2023 Winery of the Year. The Butchers Hill Vineyard, established in 2003, benefits from its north-facing slope and ferricrete soils, which enhance the complexity and robustness of the wines. A standout, and sure to be as good as last vintage. Hand-picked and fermented with a mix of whole bunches and destemmed grapes, matured in French oak with notes of spiced black cherry, dark fruits, and tobacco leaf, balanced by umami and red fruits, with a silky finish and bright acidity.
