This is Tasmania’s terroir in high-definition: the 2022 ‘La Roccia’ Pinot Noir is sculpted and feral. Grown on that iconic limestone rock shelf, it pours a deep ruby glow. The nose teases with dark cherry, wild raspberry, forest floor, dried herbs, and a zesty lick of orange peel. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with razor-sharp acidity and mouth-coating, millefeuille tannins—think blackberries, potpourri, violets and chalk. A savoury edge from 100% whole-cluster fermentation keeps it grounded. Chalky-mineral undercurrents and classy oak polish it into a near-perfect, age-worthy marvel.
