Rippon Sauvignon Blanc

Rippon is a unique parcel of land on the shores of Lake Wānaka, farmed across successive generations of the Mills family for over 100 years. From soil to bottle, Rippon’s focus is on allowing this singular and extraordinary land to express itself to its full potential.  50% of this wine was fermented in old French barrels, not for the oak, but for the form of the vessel itself. Mouthfeel is gained here by high lees to wine contact and a more efficient natural lees stirring across unhurried wild ferments.  Winemaker/winery notes
