Massimo Lentsch Etna Rosso 2020

100% Nerello Mascalese from the northern slope of Mount Etna in the Contrada Feudo di Mezzo. The volcanic, sandy soil contributes to the wine's unique profile. Handpicked and fermented with indigenous yeasts, followed by a 15-day maceration on skins. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels and further refined in steel tanks before bottling without clarification or filtration. Aged in the bottle for at least six months, there are aromas of small red fruits, minerality, wild spices, medicinal herbs, and cloves. On the palate, it is balanced and harmonious, with a well-structured body, a savoury and persistent finish, and great elegance.
