Henri Chauvet Abrupts

Henri Chauvet has traded spreadsheets for soils—and thank goodness he did. After learning the ropes with legends like Jérôme Bressy and Thierry Allemand, he landed in Auvergne and never looked back. Taking over a gem of a domaine in Boudes, Henri works 10.5 hectares of Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with volcanic soul and red-clay swagger. His approach is natural, his vision is pure, and the wines? Well, let’s just say allocation is already tighter than his pump-overs. This is only his second vintage, and already Henri is making wines that hum with energy and truth. Auvergne just got very interesting.
