This final vintage is a masterclass in structure and restraint, with deep, concentrated fruit layered over elegant, savoury complexity. Expect cassis, dark plum and blackberry aromas, edged by cedar, graphite, dried herbs and a flicker of violet — the kind of detail that rewards close attention. The palate is firm and gravelly, yet beautifully composed, with fine-grained tannins and a backbone of juicy acidity that keeps things mouthwatering and fresh. New oak is present but perfectly judged, wrapping the dark fruit in a silky frame without overshadowing its natural intensity. A wine of strength, harmony, and quiet grandeur — quite possibly the finest Cabernet ever produced at Giaconda.
