Bicknell FC Applecross Pinot Noir 2025

A beautifully perfumed Pinot, in classic Yarra Valley style. Sourced from old Pinot Noir blocks in St Andrews, it brings together beautiful fruit purity with a savoury, whole-bunch edge. Bright cherry and wild strawberry sit alongside rose petals, dried spice and a touch of earthy, stony character. More gorgeous notes of pistachio and tapenade constellate on the palate. A little whole-bunch fermentation brings perfume, lift and just enough stalky complexity to keep things interesting. Time in French oak adds texture and polish rather than a big hit of woody flavour. The palate is silky and beautifully focused, with fine powdery tannins and bright acidity keeping everything moving. There’s a lovely mix of red fruit, spice, earth and mineral detail running through the finish. Elegant without being delicate, serious without taking itself too seriously.
