100% Yarra Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from the 1969 planted No. 1 Cabernet Sauvignon, exclusively from the south west corner and picked last in the harvest. Matured for 15 months in 40% new French oak, Bordeaux shaped barrels.

Named in honour for the founder of Yarra Yering, the Carrodus range is only produced in the very best years. The wine is magnificent; blackcurrant fruits, iodine interest, bay leaf lift, a wonderful energy, fruit purity and precision. A youthful wine with vibrant acidity, fruit volume, a ripe and fine tannin framework that supports the fruit intensity. Perfect for cellaring.
