2023 Koerner Old Vine Riesling

A cracking single site Riesling from young gun winemaker, Damon Koerner. From almost 102 year old vines, the Parish Vineyard was planted in 1923, its southern aspect, blue slate and ironstone soils make for an excellent drop.

The nose is delicate, white florals and tropical melon with signature Clare Valley citrus. This vintage comes with a welcome depth, with slight smoky and flinty notes, more phenolic and textural.

Picked and sorted by hand, 10% fermented in ceramic amphorae and 90% steel for 2 months, then aged in stainless steel on fine lees for 9 months. Unfined and unfiltered.
