2022 Tolpuddle Chardonnay

A world-class chardonnay with intensity, precision, and zippy acidity. The palate is rife with green apple, salinity, a savoury roast nut character and warm cinnamon and clove spice. All of the grapes were hand-picked and sorted, whole bunch pressed and aged for 9 months in French oak on their lees, with occasional battonage.

The 2022 vintage of Tolpuddle's Chardonnay builds upon the success of previous years. It is one of the best examples of Chardonnay Tasmania has produced to date, and is firmly cementing itself as one of the Australia's benchmark producers of the variety. The wines produced and released from Tasmania's Coal River Valley are rapidly stealing Australia's spotlight for the best wines produced with the classic Burgundian grapes, and if you tasted this you would see why!
