Utopos (ε)Utopos Shiraz 2018

85.6% Shiraz, 9.5% Mataro, 3.5% Grenache and 1.4% Cabernet Sauvignon from a single 0.4 hectare vineyard in the Barossa. Aged for 20 months in 50% new toasted French oak and 50% second use barrels. The nose tantalises with aromas of juicy plum, red cherry, Christmas spice and violets. The palate is pure and exceptionally smooth, earthy, with notes of aniseed. Aged in bottle for 2 years before release, only 838 produced.
